Real Magic

So friday night at Lorelei there was this little girl named Kylie who just loved my show, got pictures with me and the birds after the show , she was very cute with here little Chuck Taylor style boot high sneakers , bandanna and temporary tattoos, Then a couple days went by and now it was Sunday, my one day off, I wasnt having a particularly good day so i went for a motorcycle ride to relax a little and for some reason I decided to stop at Lorelei which I NEVER do . I walked in and heard,"There he is" It was Kylie and her family. They were very excited and the Mom (Leah) told me that Kylie said she didn't want to go there for lunch unless the magician was there... and so i appeared. I said a quick hello and walked away.I noticed Kylie couldn't take her eyes off me so I decided to go back and do a few tricks for them. Kylie loved it, they took a bunch of pictures,we chatted and I left, feeling very good about the encounter. Later I got a FB message from Leah thanking me for making their vacation that much better. Well in this blog I want to thank them also, for making my day off that much better too! That's REAL MAGIC! making them smile ,laugh whatever and make myself feel better at the same time.... Detective Trixx

So, Friday night after my show I was packing up and could not find my egg yolk silk scarf from my EGGMAN routine, Had everybody looking for it after the show.... nuthin! The next day I was watching footage from my video guy that I had working for me Friday night getting some audience shots for my new highlight reel I'm having made. And there it is , I see a little kid in the front row pick it up, he's playing with it the whole show , after the show he runs to his parents like "look what I got". all on video. When I saw the parents i remembered they all came up to me while I was setting up earlier that night and the boy said "I saw you at a party in Hollywood Florida a couple years ago". I remembered the party , the family are big fans/friends of mine, So i sent a short video clip via text to the lady and said " do you know this kid?"... "Yup it's my husband's boss' kid, My husband is down in the keys now to doing some work for them" LOL, So i called the husband and he contacted the family and I got it back! I gave them some posters and DVDs for the trouble, The kid didn't "Steal" it he just thought " what a cool souvenir" ... Nope! Busted..Fun detective work... It's all good. Two new baby doves hatched today too. that's it I don't need anymore!!!! Two more months til I hit the road!!!! looking forward to it, I've been doing six nights a week for 7 months straight ready for a change, two months on the road is perfect, then I'm ready to come home to keys and do it all again!!! 2013 New promo stuff!!!

It's April 27th and this is my first Blog of 2013!!! I have decided to post more often, Hopefully i can keep up with it. Well I have been performing my Rockin' Magic Show six nights a week for the past seven months!!! It's been a great season here in the Florida Keys (upper Keys, Key largo and Islamorada, Not Key West!). I saved a little bit of money and am investing it all in.... myself! I just shot my NEW DVD which will be out this week!!! I have placed my first ad in MAGIC Magazine ,It will be in the June issue. I am having a new website made and am having two new promo video clips made, both by high end professionals. its a bit more expensive than I had hoped but they're going to be AWESOME! Ive got NEW POSTERS for sale.... things are good!!! Ive got two more months of performing here im the Keys then I'll be hitting the road for July and August. My President Carter performance

Hello All, I was lucky enough on 12/30/2012 to perform a private party for President Jimmy Carter, His wife , family , Secret Service agents and their families. I became friends with one of his SS agents through my local magic club and he set this up. There were about 30 people out on this patio by the pool here in the Florida Keys, I was all set up and ready to go when our 39th president Jimmy Carter (88) walked in , He walked right up to me shook my hand and said "thanks for coming, we're looking forward to your presentation." SO COOL!! It was my honor of course. I performed a full half hour set pulling no punches, Totally Trixx! and he loved it! he said to me after. " I have seen many magic shows from all over including Vegas and I have never enjoyed one more. That alone was worth the trip to Florida, We've got another magician coming tomorrow but nobody can follow that act Michael" Yeah I had to drive home with my head out the window, (it was too big) lol. One of his Agents presented me with a Carter Prtotective Division Coin!!! How cool is that!? What a pleasure!! Life is good.

Summer tour/ Cape Cod

OK Let's see, May 2011 brought me to Mexico City MEX for my first paid magic convention performance , And I thank Miami storytelling Magi Maria Ibanez for getting me booked. This was my first time in Mexico ,(after having two cruise ships cancel my first attempts lol) Myself and my fellow Magic performers (including Maria Ibanez, New friend Jason Andrews and World Champion Rocco Silano)were spoiled all week long . From staying in a five star hotel with all meals included,( plus flights, travel fees and our agreed performance fees)to day trips including bus tours, gondola boat tours and huge shopping markets. Our Hosts, the Mandrake family are all wonderful people with a great love and passion for magic. their convention, "AbraKadabra" was Awesome and I hope to be invited back next year.
June flew by continuing to perform 6 nights a week back here in the Keys, June 28-July 3rd, I spent at the IBM (International Brotherhood of Magicians) convention in Dallas TX , which had the most unbelievable line up of Magic Stars, Killer shows, Great Lectures .. What a great week!!
July 5th,I saw Motley Crue and Poison at the Hard Rock in Hollywood FL, both bands sounded great. and I had "too much fun". But I'm back on track now, exercising daily and keeping the drinks few and far between. so all is good.
NOW, the near future! I will be leaving the Keys on August 4th driving to NC to perform with a musician friend of mine Chris Bellamy,in Wilmington .at : The Trailer Bar 1701 N New River Dr Surf City NC 28445 (910-328-5744) ON my Birthday , August 6th. this is gonna be awesome!
I will leave NC on August 7th and drive with my new "Magic Trailer" in tow to Cuyahoga Falls OH, I will be headlining at The Funny Stop Comedy Club August 9-13. I haven't performed here in years! I'm looking forward to returning as the MAIN ACT!
From OH to NJ , where I will visit and perform with long time friend and old touring partner, Comedian,Ventriloquist,magician John "Gemini" Lombardi. Only two shows, both private parties,Sorry Jersey.
Then Home to Cape Cod to visit with friends and family until I feel like driving back home to the Florida Keys.
I WILL be performing on the Cape. Mostly Private parties but the big public show i will be doing will be at the very first Cape Cod Magic Festival .This event is August 28-Sept 2nd put on by the Red Jacket, for more info on this please visit

I'm Coming Home!

OK, It's been a while since I've blogged so here we go , It's been a decent season here for me in the Keys, I have been performing six nights a week for the past 5 months,And still going, this will continue until sometime in July where it will slow WAY down, For the first time in years I am prepared to take some time off during our "Slow Season" .
I will leave the Keys around my birthday ,(Aug 6th) and head to Cuyahoga Falls OH where I will headline The Funny Stop Comedy Club for a week . I will then head home to Cape Cod to perform at the very first Cape Cod Magic Festival in Yarmouth,Presented by the Red Jacket. I will perform on Monday August 29th somewhere between 2:00pm-4:00pm . This will be my first performance back home in years and I look forward to seeing some familiar faces , and spending time with family and friends.
I will return to the Florida Keys sometime in mid to late September.

In the immediate future , I leave for Mexico City MX May 18th to perform at ABRAKADABRA magic convention I am very excited for this gig,I go to many magic conventions but this is my very first paid performance at one, A memorable moment for sure!
Other news, I am excited to get my new illusion this week , I ordered it two months ago. It's the most expensive prop I ever bought, but it needed to be done, I am retiring my bunny "hocus Pocus" this year. and it's gonna be tough ending the show without him. Hocus has been in my show for 10 years! He's getting old and has served me well. I want him to be able to chill out the rest of his time. I will be giving him a "farewell tour", he will perform with me for a short time while I break in the new effect, then I will bring him to the shows for a week and let him sit and watch the show as he has never seen it!!!! he's always waiting patiently in his hiding spot, waiting til the very end of the show to make his appearance. (never thought of that til today, he has done over 2,500 shows with me and has never seen it , lol)
I am definitely ready for a little break from keys. Not to complain, it's beautiful here and I get paid to do what I love every night! but we have only ONE road here ! and man it gets very stale driving the same road at the same time , doing the same show at the same places EVERY DAY. I always love going away because I come back motivated and ready to "get back to it!"
